How to find Glen Dessary
Glen Dessary is 70 miles from Inverness and 30 miles from Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland.
For guests arriving by air, the nearest major airports are Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. All three offer a similar overall travel time to the estate, with routes that take you through some of Scotland’s most scenic landscapes. Car hire is available at each airport, and a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended during the winter months.
On the Fort William to Inverness road (A82) turn off onto the A8004 at the Commando Memorial, just north of Spean Bridge. Drive down this road to the canal, and immediately after you cross the bridge, take the turn-off signposted Loch Arkaig. This single-track road takes you from the canal along the side of Loch Arkaig (18 miles). This will take you about an hour, after which you will have arrived at the Glen Dessary Estate.
